SABRINA CARERI
URBAN PLANNER + LANDSCAPE DESGINER
ABOUT
Hi, I'm Sabrina!
My professional background is in landscape architecture, environmental studies, and public realm design. I hold a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of British Columbia, where I engaged in various projects that advanced my skills in design and planning.

I am honored to be the Lab Manager at Toronto Metropolitan University's Ecological Design Lab. This is a transdisciplinary design research studio, where I led projects focused on design advocacy, sustainable urban development, and increasing environmental resilience in cities.
I also hold a bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning degree, awarded with distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University. I approach every project with a high aptitude for learning and a dedication to personal and professional growth. I am particularly passionate about ecological connectivity practices, restoration, and the potential for storytelling, placemaking, and healing through design and nature in urban spaces.

Beyond my professional endeavors, my passion for cities has fueled my love for travel. This passion extends to documenting the places I visit, and the creative inspirations I encounter in urban environments around the world.
My love for design stems from my dad who is an interior designer, and whose work instilled in me an early appreciation for creative fields, as well as a hard work ethic. My upbringing nurtured my interests in design, which range from public spaces both interior and exterior, to fashion, graphic design, film, theme parks, and even make up. This continues to shape who I am and my approach to creativity and aesthetics.
